Passive aggression is a harmful behavior pattern that can occur in any relationship but becomes extremely painful in marriages. The early signs of passive aggression might be as simple as saying "I'm okay" and then manhandling items or slamming the door. Fortunately, you can cope with these patterns using self-examination, observation, and professional help.

To get started, here are the three methods that can help you cope with passive aggression:

1. Look for the source of passive aggression:

Instead of reacting to the aggressive behavior, take a step back and try to understand the possible reason behind it- buried feelings, sense of being powerless, or lack of self-esteem? By addressing the underlying issue, you can fix the behavioral pattern of your partner.

2. Never justify the aggressive behavior of your partner:

Avoid making excuses for the passive aggression of your companion to anyone or yourself. You have to stop justifying their behavior inwardly. Instead, have a proper understanding of the behaviors you are unwilling to tolerate.

3. Learn to set healthy boundaries :

While it can be hurtful to accept that your partner is dealing with passive aggression still to keep your best interests protected, you need to set boundaries. For this, you can have a conversation with your partner regarding how you feel about their behavior and why it's essential to create healthy boundaries.
